Sangha in Motion
Advanced Training Course - Lotus Sutra Study
On March 12th, representatives gathered from Rissho Kosei-kai Dharma Centers all over the United States to participate in the beginning session of a two-year national level training course on the Lotus Sutra.
The course participants meet four times in a two year period. The entire Threefold Lotus Sutra is covered through presentations by the students and also from the instructors.
The lead instructor for this session was Rev. Kris Ladusau from Oklahoma and the assistant instructor was Stephanie Meyer from San Francisco. There was additional support from Rev. Mizutani of the RKINA office in Irvine, California and Rev. Hosoyama from the Hawaii Dharma Center on Oahu. The seminar was hosted by Rissho Kosei-kai of Seattle.
Eight chapters were covered in one weekend. Even though the study was intense, there was much laughter and also a chance for deep introspection. It was a great opportunity for the national sangha to get to know one another. Everyone is looking forward to the next meeting in Chicago.
